The Galápagos Islands are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for their unique wildlife and fragile ecosystems. Horses are not native here,they were brought by humans generations ago. Today, many have been abandoned, creating both animal welfare concerns and ecological challenges.

At Galápagos Horse Friends, we provide a safe home for these horses while also protecting the delicate balance of the islands. But caring for them on an isolated archipelago is not easy: land is limited, specialized horse vets are scarce, and many supplies must come from the mainland.
